Special Events
Birthday Parties
Birthday parties at the Minnesota Sword Club are set-up after a requests from a parent. Parties are made to be fun and to give an idea of what fencing is like. The birthday child decides if saber, epee or foil will be fenced. The session is for an hour plus a little more to get equipment on. The kids have a great time being swash bucklers and we provide the fencing equipment, facilities and a coach. The kids need sneakers, t-shirts and long sweat pants. Then you may have a party at our facilities afterwards. We have a room that can be used for cake, eating and presents. A Pizza Hut is a half block away and a home made ice cream store is even closer. Our date preference is usually for a Saturday afternoon around 1:15 but other days and times are possible.
Adult Parties
People sometimes ask us for an adult party/class. Often it is just for an evening out; the class followed by going to one of the local restaurants. Other times it may part of a bachelor's party. The purpose is up to you. Normally the time is for an hour but sometimes it is for three. We teach what is needed to know so you can then fence against one another and have a great time. We have the needed fencing equipment so you need to wear athletic attire (sneakers, t-shirt and long sweat pants). We can set up the fencing activities in special ways, if you have a preference, including which weapon you desire (foil, saber, epee or two handed swords). It will be a fun time! Special Events
Occasionally we are requested to send fencers to "perform" or teach at business meetings and other special events. This is possible, but we set it up with a coach who must bring equipment to your facilities. E-mail us and we will return your message. The costs varies and is quite a bit more expensive then if you had the event at our facilities due to travel time and the amount of equipment needed to transport. Contact Us by e-mail. Costs
The basic cost is $140 for up to ten participants and $14 for each participant over 10. Twenty people are the maximum for any group. Most events/parties last an hour plus time to put on fencing equipment. After the fencing you may have your party using our chairs and tables. We provide the instruction, fencing equipment, and facility use for the fencing and your party. Please ask questions you may still have. Contact Us by e-mail.
Deposit for Party/Event
We ask that you make a deposit of $25 to finalize the party or event. The button below will provide a PayPal transaction using your credit card or you may send us a check. Either way is good, just do not do it until we finalize a date and time with you.
