Special Events
Birthday Parties
Birthday parties at the Minnesota Sword Club are set up because of requests from parents. The parties are a lot of fun, educational and different. A party is one hour long, fencing wise. The kids have a great time being swash bucklers and we provide the fencing equipment. The kids need sneakers, t-shirts or sweat shirts and long sweat pants. We have a room that can then be used for cake and eating plus presents. A Pizza Hut is a half block away and a home made ice cream store is even closer. Contact Us
Adult Parties
People sometimes ask us for an adult party/class. Often it is just for an evening out; the class followed by going to one of the local restaurants. Other times it may part of a bachelor's party. The purpose is up to you. We teach you what is needed to know so you can then fence against one another. We have the needed equipment and you bring athletic attire (sneakers, t-shirt and long sweat pants). It is a fun time! Contact Us
Special Events
Occasionally we are requested to send fencers to "perform" or teach at business meetings and other special events. This is possible, but we set it up with a coach who then plans it out with you. E-mail us or leave a message on our answering system and we will return your call/message. The costs varies and is quite a bit more then if you had the event at our facilities due to travel time and the amount of equipment needed to transport. Contact Us
Medieval Seminars
One of our coaches is an expert on medieval history, the lives of people at the time, the swords and the combat during the medieval period. Contact Us
To Schedule and Costs
To
schedule a group lesson you must e-mail or call us. We will not be able
to give
you an immediate answer until we talk to a coach who will run your
party/class. Either Rich Jacobson or the coach will return your call
and set up the specifics as
well as answers any question you may have. Most classes are held
Saturday or Sunday afternoon but, weekday evenings are sometimes
possible. The classes are for an hour or a little more and are a lot of
fun as well as educational. The cost is $14 a person with a minimum of
$140. Twenty people are the maximum for a group. We provide the
instruction, fencing equipment, and facility use. Contact Us
